A New Start: The Seductive Life

I have started a new blog, Seductive Life (The Path Less Traveled) as a showcase for my photography and a location to post my thoughts on the world.

Learning from the Masters

The annual Accent on Music guitar seminar. The entire reason I had traveled by motorcycle from Colorado to Oregon.

It was an incredible experience learning from the three world-class musicians teaching at the seminar. Mark Hanson wrote the books I originally started with learning the guitar. Pat Kirtley’s playing got me interested in Irish/Celtic music. . . . → Read More: Learning from the Masters

Arrival in Oregon

Alternate Title: Tranquility Date: Friday, 17 July 2009

It has been a long, trying, and expensive day. I’m tempted to stop near Boise for the night. It would have been the smart choice, but it would also have been the wrong choice.

Destination: Portland, Oregon

I decided early this year it was time to take two large steps forward in my life goals: Improve my guitar playing and prepare for the upcoming trip where I will ride my motorcycle around the world. The Project: Ride a Motorcycle Around the World

The title says it all. I am making plans to ride my motorcycle, a KLR 650, around the world. I will not be leaving on this epic journey for a few years yet, but planning begins now. Here, I will capture the thoughts, plans, raves, rants, despair, and euphoria related to planning this project.
